Brookdale Springs Mesa offers a vibrant community for seniors who want to enjoy their independence or need some assistance. The community provides a range of services, including independent living apartments with activities like games, social events, and outings to local parks and cultural sites. The staff is described as friendly, caring, and attentive, with some reviews highlighting caregivers like nurses Sam and Pam, and drivers like Lori, as especially helpful.
Residents can enjoy features such as a swimming pool, fitness center, pet-friendly apartments, and restaurant-style dining. The community emphasizes wellness, social connection, and a carefree lifestyle, with staff available 24/7 for emergencies. Living here provides opportunities to try new hobbies and meet new friends.
However, some reviews mention concerns. Several residents or family members report that the community charges for many services that are not included in the basic fee, leading to unexpectedly high bills. One review notes that they bill for services they don’t provide, and the pricing is considered very high for the quality of care. There are also issues raised about unsafe flooring near bathrooms that took months to get fixed, often requiring family intervention. Additionally, some reviews mention problems with cleanliness, repairs taking a long time, and a lack of assistance for residents who need help with bathing or daily activities.
Overall, Brookdale Springs Mesa has positive aspects, like beautiful amenities, friendly staff, and a lively social scene, making it appealing for independent seniors or those comfortable with additional costs. But prospective residents should be cautious, review the contract carefully, and be aware of potential extra charges and past maintenance issues.

The building is absolutely beautiful, the most cleanest facility I’ve ever walked into ! Hopefully I get the job so I can be apart of such an amazing team with amazing people !
This is an excellent place to live independently as one grows older and wants to stay in AZ.
The workers at the facility are kind and caring and the facility is nice but the company does not make any effort to hide that they are only in it for the profit. They are currently going through a change in ownership and the already very high prices are supposed to be increasing. Additionally, any extra care will come at a cost and the executive direction, Garrett Jones, will make no effort to be kind to your relative. He is rude, stand-offish, and makes the residents uncomfortable. If you meet with him, expect him to give you a good sales pitch but not have any care for your relatives past that.
This would be a good vacation spot for people who have unlimited funds. just want to lounge around and enjoy bingo or exercise classes, or hear some entertainment from time to time. But if you or a loved ONE NEEDS REAL ASSISTANCE THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE PLACE TO GO. EVERY SINGLE THING THEY DO IS AN EXTRA CHARGE ON YOUR BILL. And even things that you pay for you don’t get half the time like help bathing if they’re shorthanded you’re out of luck. If you can’t get to the dining room to eat , you’re out of luck, If you need your sugar level, checked every day, you’re out of luck. They absolutely assist in nothing that is not listed on a contract and agreed to pay for. Rooms are not clean and repairs require a battle by the family to get done.
This is an amazing place. I’m very impressed with the food and the attentive staff. The springs and ponds are beautiful and peaceful. Activities are very exciting and fun. Residents are friendly and warm. Lori the driver is very friendly and helpful. Sam and Pam the nurses are so caring and go the extra mile to ensure the best care provided for each resident.
