The staff at Oakmont has been so phenomenal. They are caring, compassionate, supportive, and professional. My family has always received top notch care. They plan great activities for the Traditions residents and always lots of smiles. I know my family is in good hands with all the staff and never have had any concern. Thank you, Oakmont for all you do for family and their other families! You guys are the best!

We moved my 95 y.o. father into Oakmont 4 months ago to be closer to family & have his care needs met by trained, skilled caregivers & nurses. Initially, he adjusted well, making friends & settling in. He was very sharp mentally however after some time, he needed help with basic tasks like toileting, showering & transferring out of bed. That’s when his stay at Oakmont went south. The caregivers demonstrated an inability to transfer him safely resulting in him falling with them 6 times in 8 days. Despite multiple meeting with administrators the falls continued. A Home Health PT evaluated the situation & determined Oakmont staff needed training in transfers. Still, nothing changed. The website for this facility states, “Our licensed nurses are on-site 16 hours a day.” That is untrue! There is ONE nurse on-site only 40 hrs/week. DO NOT MOVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE unless you can guarantee they will never need care. Sadly, my Dad passed away 2 weeks ago. Despite friendly staff, I can not recommend this facility to anyone.

Oakmont of Agoura Hills has put my family to ease with their care. My mom had a sudden turn of events where she needs 24 hr care and after reaching out to many, many facilities and almost getting a crash course in the assisted living language because of the extensive admittance process, the team at Oakmont made me fully aware that they were the right fit for mom. Their entire Team, especially Lily, has comforted me with the virtual tours, the FaceTime tour, the one on one meetings while filling out admittance forms, and so many more minute and colossal details for my mom’s care. I live across the country from my mom and the distance during this time has been a hardship but to know I have expanded my family with the newly bonded relationship with Oakmont makes me feel less stressed about my mother’s care. I know she’s in the right hands and I fully recommend Oakmont for anyone’s loved ones.

We needed to find an assisted living community for my mother and chose Oakmont. It was fairly new and showed some promise. However, in the few months she's been there it's gone quickly downhill. There is often no power, even when it's 33 degrees at night currently. There is no backup generator. Hot water is hit and miss. The staff seem fairly uninformed on the issues. Management is currently turning over. The chef is leaving. I could go on, but instead we're going to find my mother a new home.

My father in law was the first person to move in when they opened. They had some growing pains in the beginning but we have found the place to be immaculate the staff accommodating and caring. The food is better than most of these places. If you are looking for a small facility to make friends and call your home Oakmont is the place.
