My mom has resided at Brookdale for over a year and she absolutely loves it. She loves her balcony where she can admire the trees and the birds that frequent her birdfeeder. The meals are delicious. The fact she could bring her cat was a triple plus. There is a plethora of activities including a weekly happy hour. ☆☆☆☆☆
My mother has been a resident at Brookdale Nohl Ranch for over a year. The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly and caring. The food is delicious with a great variety to choose from each day. The caregivers/nursing staff are very helpful. The resident care coordinator goes above and beyond to help the residents and their family. Medical staff comes to the facility which makes it easier for my mother. The activity director has a variety of daily activities to accommodate the residents. I am happy that I chose Brookdale Kohl Ranch for my mother.
Earlier this year I had my grandmother as a new resident here after she got sick, for only a few months, as she had received so many gifts and offers from her neighbors at brookdale welcoming her whenever she was ready if she ever needed and it was closest to her home, just down the street. There was many friendly staff but some things that just didn’t make sense like leaving her food in the kitchen (she was unable to walk) so how would they expect her to eat? Also not providing her physical therapy which made her get worse overtime, as doctors stated. But that’s nothing compared to when she eventually passed and we went to grieve and pick up her belongings as that was one of the last places she’d been before passing. As we were literally standing in the room my grandmother had last been in and holding eachother crying the manager and a staff member come in out of no where and seem confused as to why were there, literally asking what we were doing there, so I tell them she had passed which they then respond to “we know”. No type of compassion, no pitty, not even 5 minutes alone in her room with the way she had it could we have because of the inconsiderate rude staff there is here. Once they stop receiving money and your family member is dead they are no longer that friendly smiling staff they put a show on as. My grandmother passed in April of this year and unfortunately the disgusting experience we had here at Brookdale is part of my memory on the day she passed and has stuck with me even after so many months so I am here speaking up for my family and my grandmother because she should’ve been taken much better care of here and we should have been treated with respect especially after she had passed. All we wanted was 5 minutes alone in her last home. The manager and staff member told us to get whatever belongings we could right then and there and most importantly only cared about getting their keys back to which I handed them on the spot. They literally stood there and watched us while we were crying packing up her small amount of belongings she had. If you want people who truly care about your family members and not just money, look elsewhere.
My was a resident at Brookdale , I am so grateful for the staff here! The nursing staff was top notch and so loving! Always having big smiles when you enter the facility ! I could not have asked for a better place to have my mom!! They are truly an amazing place to have for your elderly family members! ♥️♥️♥️
Generally, Brookdale, North Ranch was pretty good. However, I really feel like I got nickel and dimed and had to scrutinize my bill every month for unnecessary charges. I encourage anyone living there or if you have a family member living there go over your bill with a fine tooth comb.
