Reviews of Arcadia Retirement Village show mixed experiences. Some residents and family members praise the community for its friendly staff, clean environment, and caring attitude. For example, one review highlights that staff members know residents well and are patient, especially with those experiencing dementia. Others mention that residents seem happy and that the location is convenient and peaceful. A few reviews also mention that the staff is attentive and that the community offers engaging activities and comfortable living spaces.
However, there are significant concerns highlighted by some reviews. One review describes poor care and attention, criticizing the facility for lacking basic needs like accessible water and proper patient assistance. The reviewer noted that communication devices for help were often out of reach, and that residents who could walk found the environment lonely and difficult to navigate. Another negative review accuses the owners of dishonesty and only caring about money, warning potential residents to be cautious.
From the community's website, it’s clear that Arcadia Retirement Village offers a range of services designed to support residents’ daily needs, such as help with bathing, dressing, medication, and transportation. They focus on creating a personalized and family-like environment, with amenities like private and shared apartments, meals, activities, and access to healthcare resources. Additionally, the facility is ALW-approved, meaning it participates in the Medi-Cal program to help make care more affordable.
In summary, the community has strengths like a caring staff, clean facilities, and supportive services. But some residents and family members have experienced neglect or poor communication, raising concerns about the quality and consistency of care. Prospective residents should visit and ask questions to see if it fits their needs and expectations.

I have lived there too long. The place is old and rundown. There was no hot water for 2 months. Some of the caregivers are rude and inconsiderate. Alot of theives in there including the caregivers. Since I have been there I have had my cell phone, $200 in cash, and my car keys stolen from my room. Gil just tells you if you have no proof who took it they cant do nothing. This is the worst place to put a loved one, since I have been there over 20 people have died. They accused me of selling drugs there with no proof of this, they have never seen me doing drugs nor having them in my possession. They treat people like trash and they think it's OK to do that. Supposedly there is going to be new owners I surely hope that is true but I am still trying to get out of there ASAP but not to another assisted living.
My mother in law died at this place. Her medical concerns went unmonitored , no one helped monitor it, providing her someone else’s medicine, the pharmacy they use is a big fraud- they keep filling my mother in law’s prescription before time and charged us without asking us if we can afford it. The place smell like roach spray and no one takes good care of the folks there. I had to drive 45 mins one way to take my mother in law to numerous appointments and was told that is something they don’t do. Why not? They don’t have the compassion to work with seniors and it’s just about the money not about the seniors. So many state complaints and let me not forget to mention missing medications. My mother in law died in her sleep and was not identified until the next day when she should have been monitored because of her dementia. Not a place to take your love ones, especially if you want and expect the best for them.
My sister was here. I couldn't wait for her to get out. She would have been better off in a convalescent home as far as care and attention. In a convalescent home you have a picture of water and three shifts of nursing Care. At least two shifts of eating in your room or dining room near the kitchen. NOT SO IN THIS RETIREMENT VILLAGE. IF YOU WANT WATER YOU HAVE TO BUY IT. I DID NOT WITNESS VERY MUCH PATIENT ASSISTANCE. THE BED CORD FOR HELP WAS ALWAYS ON THE FLOOR OR NOT NEAR HER AT ALL, SO SHE DID NOT HAVE COMMUNICATION. THOSE THAT ARE ABLE TO WALK AROUND, WALK IN A VERY LONELY PLACE. TO WALK TO THE KITCHEN IS A LONG WAY.
My mom lives here. Nobody helps her when she needs the help. Nobody does anything when I ask them. My Mom would wait for HOURS just for someone to help her. Its RIDICULOUS. I WANT MY MOM TO MOVE ASAP. LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PLACE FOR HER. I WOULDNT CHOOSE THIS PLACE.
My aunt has lived in Arcadia Retirement Village for 3 years. The entire staff knows her and adores her. They are patient with my Aunt and have alerted us about changes in her cognitive ability due to her progressing dementia. Really glad she has a place to call home with people who truly care about her.
