My mom has been in Lakewood Park Manor for a month. We have found her to be happy. She is making new friends. She is putting on weight. She looks better because she loves the food and eats more than she has in years! She is taking her medicine on a regular basis, which has also helped her to feel better. The staff is kind. My mother loves talking to them. I have visited many care facilities. I have never been in one that is as clean and orderly as this place. Lakewood Park Manor was the only Senior Living Community that my family and mother toured. She expressed to us after our visit that this was the place was where she wanted to move to when she was ready. We looked no further. Well, ready came a couple years later when our mother finally got tired of the responsibilities of owning a home and desired more socialization. My mother had a fall last year and her recovery was definitely difficult and made it frankly impossible for us take care of her full-time. She ended up having to go Lakewood Park Manor in Downey CA because it just made more sense to have her in a well respected convalescent home rather than having untrained family members trying take care of her properly.
