Micheal and the entire staff at Silverado are amazingly compassionate and caring for both our moms. It’s rare to find a facility that exhibits the same level of care that you would expect for a family member, but Silverado is it! The facility is light,, bright and filled with music and laughter.. The well trained and accredited staff are amazing with the myriad of challenges that come with a memory care location. From the busy activity schedule to personalized nail and hair service, Silverado truly makes our parents feel like they are at home in every way. The staff advocates for us and takes our observations and recommendations to heart. We would recommend Silverado to anyone searching for a place for their elderly loved ones. Thank you, Silverado for giving us the peace of mind that reinforced this difficult decision.

Choosing a memory care facility for a loved one is one of the hardest and most emotional decisions a family can make, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Silverado Escondido. From the very beginning, they treated my family like their own. What truly sets Silverado apart is the staff. Every single person we’ve encountered has been warm, caring, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the residents and their families. The Administrator, Michael, is always welcoming with a smile, the Family Ambassador, Shanyn, has been endlessly supportive and kind, and the nursing staff is incredibly attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable. Especially Jen, Stephanie, Angie and Sandra. I honestly don’t know how they manage to know every resident and family member so personally, but they do. One of the first things I noticed when I walked in was what I didn’t notice — there was no institutional feel or unpleasant odor that so many care facilities have. Instead, it felt light, bright, warm, and peaceful. The outdoor areas are beautiful and relaxing, and the entire environment feels alive and uplifting rather than depressing. Another huge reason we chose Silverado was because they allow residents to have dogs, which was incredibly important for my mom since she’s always been a huge dog lover. Not only could she bring her own dog, but many staff members also bring their dogs to work, giving residents regular interaction and comfort from animals throughout the community. It adds such a warm, home-like feeling that you don’t find in most places. I also love that families are truly welcomed here. I can come have meals with my mom anytime, and they even offer a private family dining space. They keep residents engaged with activities, outings, memory exercises, hair and nails, holiday events, entertainment, and support groups for families. Jessica is a gem! They truly go above and beyond. What amazes me is how much they genuinely care while managing the needs of so many residents. The peace of mind Silverado has given me is priceless. Yes, it’s more expensive than some facilities, but for our family, it has absolutely been worth every penny. If you are looking for a memory care community where your loved one will be treated with dignity, compassion, warmth, and love, I highly recommend Silverado Escondido.

No one ever wants to choose a memory care facility, but finding Silverado Escondido when you are at your lowest moment, not knowing where to turn for help, is a ray of light and hope. From the moment we entered the front door for a tour, we felt welcomed and supported. It feels like family in the best way possible. The entire staff from the director, nurses, care-givers, cleaning crew, maintenance, reception, kitchen and more are all highly trained and attuned to the special needs of their residents and families. Each resident has their own challenges, and the team is committed to working with them as individuals, meeting them where they are, and finding solutions that work. There are no cookie-cutter solutions here. It will never be 100% perfect, but this team does the hard work to address issues in a collaborative and caring manner. I highly recommend Silverado Escondido.

Silverado Memory Care Escondido is AMAZING!! There is no better place A family friend that was on his own was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. We began a very long journey down a path we had no experience in. We first moved him into assisted living facilities. He was in assisted living for 2 months and they said he needed to go to memory care. The assisted living place he was in was nice so we moved him into their memory care. Needless to say the memory care was not treating him well. We noticed he felt very agitated and at this point in his disease he was nonverbal so he could not tell us what was wrong. He was a wonderer would walk all the time being it was a small area he kept trying to escape. We started noticing how others were being cared for and knew we had to get him out of there and find a place where he would be well cared for and would be happy. We researched and made a list of highly rated memory care facilities and we began a 2 week tour of many memory care facilities in Escondido, Vista and Rancho Bernardo. We had a list of things we were looking for to find to right facility. 1. Resident to staff ratio by California law it’s a max of 5 to 1 we both agreed was way too many for even a highly trained nurse. 2. The attitude of the staff towards the residents 3. Affordability must stay on his budget 4. Cleanliness of the facility. How does it smell? Are the residents clean? 5. Do the residents look happy, is there activities for them to do. 6. Distance from our house being we will be visiting regularly. 7. Reading reviews on line on many different sources As the tours went on we came to understand there is allot of large companies that own multiple facilities and are bought and sold sometimes yearly. It is big business and with that profits can easily become the priority over patient care. You could tell corners were cut, understaffed, and untrained. High employee turnover is a major red flag. Because Silverado had the highest price they were the last one we toured mostly out of curiosity. As soon as we walked in the front door we could tell it was different. Every business has a culture and you feel it when you enter. Very welcoming staff. Many of the staff members have been there over 20 years. If you retain good people it means they are happy and will go the extra mile for the residents. Silverado is clean, organized, daily managers meeting as a former business owner I know how important this is. The lowest resident to caregiver ratio. All others were 5 to 1 California maximum. He liked to walk all the time. He was able to walk all over the facility and walk around outside in the beautiful gardens with paths, setting areas, fruit tree. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The food is really good and presented to the residents like they were going to a very nice restaurant to eat. Fast forward over a year later and hundreds of visits, nothing has changed. Same staff, same clean caring place. And a feeling when you leave from a visit every time that we made the right choice on his care.

.All of the staff cares deeply for the patients and assists whenever necessary. Your loved one is cared for by many more people than the statistics show. The entire staff from the administrator down to the maintenance staff are completely integrated into the Care Team. They all care. They are kind and everyone pitches in to make sure that the residents needs are met. I was concerned about putting my husband into a Memory Care Facility but Silverado has exceeded my expectations. The Administrator Micheal Zuletta is excellent. The facility runs very professionally. Micheal is not only accessible, but he is very involved with the nursing staff and the residents. Jen, Maria, Stephanie and Matt all work very hard and with great compassion., The nursing staff are experienced when it comes to dealing with my husband's irregular and often challenging behavior. My husband has CTE, a terrible disease caused by repetitive blows to the head while playing football. They are patient beyond belief, they remain calm during stressful events and keep the family informed if any issues arise, truly creating a care "Team". Last but certainly not least, Silverado Memory Care Escondido impressed us immediately as soon as we walked in the door during our initial search for a care home for Richard. It is a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is happy and they all truly seem to enjoy working at Silverado and interacting with the residents. Their heart is in their work. I would highly recommend Silverado Escondido if you would like the best of care for ur loved one.
