My niece and myself placed a family member here about 3 months ago.I had been her Primary Caregiver prior to a series of events that made it evident that she needed supervision that I was unable to provide. The staff here is excellent, and very caring. I no longer have to worry about her not taking her medications, or worse, taking too much, and the food is served in an attractive way. I've had lunch with her a few times, and the food is delicious. The staff makes sure she is ready for her appointments, and are always willing to help. The maintenance crew is friendly and caring, and always willing to lend a hand. 5 stars!
Unfortunately, my dear grandfather needed more care than we could provide him in his home and we had to find a suitable home for him. After researching and visiting 9 other facilities, I settled on Vista Del Mar. I chose it because: The staff seemed very caring and warm Amazing amenities and events for the residents (restaurant, bar, courtyard, music, prayer group, movie rooms, pets allowed and more - like a resident dog named Jake who was very calm and loving!) He was able to have his own (very nice sized) room (with balcony!) The staff provided dignified and thorough service throughout his last six months and contacted us often and let us know when services needed to be added on (as needed). Open communication and professionalism from staff is all I ever encountered. Thank you for giving my grandther the loving care he deserved.
I am not one to leave reviews for anything but I have been moved to leave one for this particular Assisted Living. I provide fitness programs free to Assisted Livings all over LA and OC County, so I am very familiar with all aspects of the Assisted Living business. I am sure there are several amazing employee's at this location but I need to highlight the energy and efforts of Reggie, Sammy and Nye at Vista Del Rey. Many people have chosen to leave this line of work because it was easier to collect mail box money than to show up to work and continue to give to the very people that were hurt the most during this pandemic. Its been an emotional two years for all of us, but some of us kept showing up and the Activities department at Vista Del Rey take whatever energy they have left to give to this community. I never see anyone sad when I walk in there and the classes are 25 people plus every day. (WHEN MOST HAVE 12-15. With so many people complaining about how their loved one is treated, there are many that have not given up. God Bless you Sammy, Reggie and Nye.
had a friend with a brain tumor there for 5 months. The staff was very attentive, especially towards the end. I was always able to talk to someone and address any questions I had. The facility was clean and quiet every visit. I would recommend this facility to any of my loved ones. Thanks to Vista Del Mar for his care.
The staff at Vista Del Mar has been very helpful. Any questions we had, they were very prompt and courteous. They made the whole process easy and comforting. I highly recommend you check this place out.
