We had my mother here for her last couple of years and it was ok. Well taken care of. Unfortunately my mother-in-law had been there for a couple years now after, my mom passed, and it has gone downhill. The facility isn’t taken care of as well as it used to be. It needs a lot of tender loving care. The overall care is poor. The staff has a terrible attitude. I don’t think they like to work there. Look long and hard elsewhere.
I’ve visited Katella Senior a few times with my church. It’s very nice and charming. The fountains, outdoor areas, and dining area make it seem like you’re in Italy. It seems like a lot of the residents are friends, gathering and chatting.
I couldn't be happier with the service my family and I received from the staff at this facility. The outreach that the staff showed in handling my family's extensive situation was something I am forever grateful for. They truly showed support and concern for my family in a way i couldn't have imagined. Prior to this experience, I had a poor misconception of what a senior living center would entail. Katella Senior Living Community made my family feel comfortable and relieved to know that our loved one would be graciously cared for. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to maintain a high quality of life for their loved one!
Hello Carly, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. Covid has been so devastating for all of us and losing a loved one makes it all the harder. Over the past several years I have known many residents of Katella Senior Living and all have benefited from the care of the staff. They have become like family to all whom I know are living there and I am grateful for their loving kindness.
Lack of hygiene assistance, lack of meal preparation, THE WORSE medication management I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. They gave my ______ the wrong medication multiple times, but since he is still alive it’s ok according to them.
