CityView Senior Living

Residents and families often feel very positive about City View. Many mention that the staff are caring, helpful, and attentive. Families say staff members like Dawna, Marcia, Hannah, and Vanita go above and beyond to make residents comfortable. Reviewers highlight the welcoming environment that helps new residents settle in quickly. Several talks about the staff being friendly, professional, and in good spirits, which adds to the positive atmosphere.

The community offers engaging activities, like games and movies, that residents enjoy. One resident learned to play poker, and others like exploring neighborhood outings or relaxing in the rooftop garden with city views. The environment is bright, clean, and well-maintained, with spaces like an interior patio and a spacious room for each resident.

Families also appreciate the support during difficult times. One reviewer noted the respectful memorial ceremony for their loved one, showing the community's respect and kindness. Many mention feeling reassured and more at peace since their loved ones moved into City View.

On the other hand, some reviews highlight that staff can be busy, and in busy times, it might be harder to get individual attention. There was also an initial concern about the emotional process of relocating a loved one.

Overall, most families and residents feel happy with the care and the welcoming community at City View. They believe it is a good place where residents are cared for kindly, and families find comfort knowing their loved ones are in good hands.

My mom recently moved in to City View and she is really enjoying all of the activities there. In a very short time she became very comfortable and familiar as if she had been there a while. Dawna, Marcia, Vanita, and all of the staff have been extremely helpful and supportive, not only with her, but with me and all I had to do navigating logistically and emotionally to get her situated there. I love getting random texts from my mom letting me know what movie is showing for the nightly movie or what activities she will participate in that day. Also a vibrant area/neighborhood that she explores on her own , or during our weekly dinner outings. We are very happy !

We were allowed multiple visits before moving my 88 year old mother, diagnosed with dementia, into the memory care unit of City View. Management staff were wonderful. Significantly, the various support staff who provide direct resident care (all in uniform and easily identifiable) seemed chipper. This was noteworthy and an enormous relief to us. Often in memory care facilities, the most important people like orderlies, CNAs and other support staff, seem overworked, underappreciated and even dour. We visited while everyone was filing in to the dining area for dinner, which can be a vector for conflict. Yet, everything seemed under control. The staff were efficient and the residents seemed happy. Two residents were quite welcoming to my very shy mother. Physically, the rooftop garden provides a 360 degree view of the entire city. String lights are up, so I imagine it can be very nice in the evenings. They also have an interior glassed in patio area which really brightens the environment. The rooms are very clean and quite serviceable, especially for anyone who doesn't like clutter. We'll follow up in a few months to report on my mom's adjustment. Ideally, this will be her permanent home. We have every reason for optimism.

My mother moved to CityView Memory Care about a month ago. The intake process facilitated by Dawna was done so smoothly and I appreciate her welcoming and positive attitude. My mom is very comfortable and well-taken-care-of at CityView. I see that she is more at peace and everyone from Hannah who is the Soul Director, to Marcia who is the wellness director and all their kind and caring care providers collectively create an environment that is professional, peaceful, clean and engaging. I have more peace of mind since my mom has moved to CityView and am grateful for Mendy's leadership and everyone's positive and caring attitude.

It was a difficult time for our family as we searched for the right placement for our mother but CityView turned out to be the perfect place for her. Dawna was always so kind and loving with her as well as all of the caregivers that took care of her. My mother loved playing games so the Activity Center was perfect for her and she even learned how to play Poker! She enjoyed dining every night with two sweet gentlemen and when we were with her we noticed how attentive and kind the wait staff was with her. She had a beautiful, spacious room that was always clean as well as her laundry. Unfortunately, our mother passed away last year and we were so amazed that CityView had a lovely ceremony in her honor. My family and I were so touched and moved by that. I highly recommend CityView to anyone looking for a lovely home for their loved one.

While we didn't wind up placing my Aunt here (at least not presently), it was for reasons unrelated to the facility itself or the staff. Dawna was the sweetest, most engaged and generous Director we met during our search. It was clear she cared deeply for her residents and the atmosphere at City View and it stood head and shoulders above almost all the Assisted Living Properties we toured.
