Silverado Beverly Place is a memory care community in Los Angeles, close to Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. It is dedicated to helping people with dementia and other memory issues. The community has three different neighborhoods to care for residents at various stages of their illness. All staff are specially trained and certified in dementia care, with 40 hours of education and hands-on practice. There are doctors, nurses, and social workers on site around the clock to provide support and medical care.
Silverado focuses on both clinical quality and making residents comfortable. They offer unique programs like Nexus, an internationally recognized brain health program that uses non-drug methods to improve cognition, especially in early stages of dementia. They also have The Loft, a special neighborhood that encourages an active, brain-healthy lifestyle for residents with early-stage dementia.
The community is known for its engaging activities, including animal therapy, where residents interact with goats, alpacas, turtles, and guinea pigs. Families often feel reassured and grateful for the high level of care and attention provided by staff who genuinely love and understand the residents. Many families share that Silverado has improved their loved ones' happiness and quality of life, and that choosing Silverado earlier could have eased their own caregiving burden.
Reviews highlight that Silverado staff are caring, attentive, and responsive. Families appreciate the warm environment where residents are engaged in activities, celebrate holidays, and form meaningful connections. Some note that once families see how well their loved ones are doing, they wish they had moved them in sooner. Families also mention feeling relief and peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are in capable hands, which allows the family members to rest and return to their roles as loved ones, not just caregivers.
Overall, Silverado Beverly Place is praised for its innovative approaches, compassionate staff, and focus on residents' happiness and dignity. While the community is highly regarded, the only challenge noted is that there are no current scheduled events or activities, which may vary over time. Families considering Silverado can feel confident that their loved ones will receive specialized, respectful memory care tailored to their needs.

We have been lucky enough to have a family member at Silverado for about 6 months now. This facility is truly a jewel. They provide a fantastic level of service and engagement for clients living with memory impairment. My mother had a difficult time with her initial adjustment, but the staff was incredibly kind, patient, and caring with her. They have really gotten to know her personality and preferences, and have treated her and our family with great warmth and respect. They do so much to keep residents active and engaged, and there is always something fun going on. There are delicious summer barbecues prepared by the wonderful chef Norman, amazing musical performances, afternoon teas, and local outings for the residents to enjoy. This is truly a special place. Thank you especially to the responsive and caring nursing staff that has managed my mother’s medical needs with grace and professionalism.
What an incredible blessing to find Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care Community. It was the first care community our placement specialist referred us to, and after touring many others, it was definitely the standout. “It’s just so full of love.” she said. And this has proven to be true. Everyone is so caring, knowledgeable and invested, from our first interactions with Jodi, Family Ambassador, to AD of Health Services, Maria meeting us and our loved one at a cafe for a friendly evaluation, to Administrator Stephanie with her open door policy, the Silverado team made what could have been a difficult transition seamless and joyful. Our loved one’s Early Onset Alzheimer’s required more supervision than we could provide him. He is a musician and theater artist, is very social and values community. We were looking for an active community where he could find meaningful connections. Silverado provides him with more social engagement and agency than he’s had living at home and he is very happy there. Key to his happiness and wellbeing has been the music therapy he receives from Silverado’s wonderful full time Music Therapist, Zach, both individually and daily in group sessions! And they have a MT internship program, which is so important in supporting this proven method of brain health in the field. His PT and OT are managed by the very capable Krikor and his team. Caregivers like Celia are patient, warm and respectful, and the nurses communicate timely about his medication and supplement supplies. Those at the front desk, like Afra and Arlene, greet you warmly while engaging with residents with gentle care. Everyone at Silverado gives 100% with skill and compassion, and are responsive to our loved one’s changing needs. Lastly, staff are encouraged to bring their children, there are dogs, birds and a cat to interact with, outdoor gathering spaces, a regular men’s outing and warm family events that are planned by Melissa, Director of the Nexus Program. We are so grateful that the founders’ vision of providing quality of life in a whole community has been realized at Silverado Beverly Place!
Silverado is more than a memory care community, it’s a place where families are truly supported through a difficult journey. Two people who really stand out are Jodie, the Family Ambassador, and Stephanie, the Administrator. They both bring a warm and caring presence, and right away you feel supported and understood. What stands out most about Silverado is their true dedication to both residents and their families. They’re not just about keeping residents safe and engaged, they’re about caring for the whole person. That care extends to families as well, with support groups and resources that make a difficult experience a little easier. On top of that, every team member, from dining to housekeeping, is trained in dementia. This brings an extra level of comfort, knowing your loved one is understood and supported by everyone they come in contact with. For any family thinking about Silverado, know that you’re choosing a community that truly is the gold standard in memory care. The caring staff, focus on education, and the way they go above and beyond for residents makes all the difference.
Living out of state and since my wife's dementia condition was progressively worsening, it was time for us to return home to Los Angeles. My first remote contact with Jodi Carr, Family Ambassador, was informative, productive and theurapeutic. After two more contacts with Jodi, I concluded that Silverado was the best choice for Mary's comfort, physical and medical needs, and that she would be treated with compassion and respect. In addition to daily living activities, Silverado has additional programs to enhance their tenants' lives. In January 2022, a Music Therapy Student Internship at Silverado was launched following the results of a 2020 study at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), "Effects of Music Therapy on Patients witth Dementia-a systematic review". The program has pledged to help prospective music therapists gain the skill and knowledge they need to use their music to change lives. Every afternoon there are musicians playing and singing while trying to have the assembled tenants to participate in the activities. Silverado has contributed to enrich my wife's quality of life, for that I'll be forever grateful.
We cannot say enough good things about Silverado Beverly Place. We looked at a variety of places for our mother and knew immediately that this was the right fit. She has been there for a year and is thriving and has never been happier. The atmosphere is always so joyous and everyone is so friendly. There is always an activity or an event (not to mention Normans amazing cooking!). She was able to bring her beloved dog with her which made her so happy. My mother is so well taken care of on every level and when she accidentally fell, her caregiver Martin was right there and responded immediately to the situation and took care of her. We are so grateful that she is in a place at this chapter in her life where she is surrounded by loving and compassionate people.
