The Royal Bellingham staff are Excellent and give their residents their medications in a timely manner and when they need them. They give our Mother her correct pills!! Staff may be on the phone but NEVER ignore anyone when they need help or if someone wants to go to the doctor. Whenever we visit our Mother sometimes we hear a buzzer sounding off (when a patient pulls the string in their room to get help) and the staff always helps them and respond right away!! The staff members are always polite to the residents and to us! Especially the Administrator Lori, she is a valuable asset to Royal Bellingham, she is a good listener and she helps everybody!! The decor at Royal Bellingham is very nice, and the rent is fair, especially compared to other Assisted Living locations, the rent is NOT ridiculous!! The staff are ALWAYS polite and helpful towards the RESIDENTS!! It is absolutely worth the money that the resident pays to live at Royal Bellingham Assisted Living. Royal Bellingham has great staff and they take good care of our Mother!! Our family HIGHLY recommend Royal Bellingham Assisted Living and happy our Mother is there!!
The staff doesn't give their patients their pills and medications on time and when they need them. Sometimes they don't give the correct pills. One staff member in particular is always on the phone and ignores my great grandma when she needs something or wants to go to the doctor. Every time I visit my great grandma, I hear a buzzer sounding off (when a patient pulls the string in their room to get help) and the staff ignores them. Some of the staff members are rude to the patients. One staff member that gives my great grandma a shower is either on the phone or doesn't dry and dress her. The staff that cleans her room steals stuff from her room. The staff members get annoyed when my great grandma keeps calling them to change her after she goes #2. The decor at this place might be nice, but the rent is ridiculous and the staff aren't always helpful towards the patients. It's not worth the money that the patients pay to live there. This place needs better staff and the staff needs to take better care of them. Also, they are under-staffed.
Although my mom was only here for a short period of time, her care was exceptional, super caring staff and very personable. Any request made by my family was met with enthusiasm and dedication. Prior to her moving here she was in a place that was very corporate, not very good listeners and my mom felt very alone. Thank God this was her last stop. Thank you to all the staff at Royal Bellingham. Mata Family
Mom was blind. Never goes anywhere but inside her room. Food is brought to her and showers if she feels like it or sometimes with their schedule. She functions very well inside her room. She never goes out of her room except when we pick her up for visits and lunches outside. On previous visits before lockdown mostly carpet smells and dirty. Will always request cleaning during the visit. Staff are attentive while we were there. During lockdown, we had not communicated except by phone and once during summertime August, to a designated area, seeing her outside the patio. On January 7, ambulance was called due to her increase shortness of breath. Perhaps she was found on a later symptoms as the ER doctor said she tested positive for COVID and immediately placed her on Bipap machine. Did everything including convalescent plasma, intubation and all necessary treatments given. MD said symptoms are far worse when brought in. January 18, she died of COVID. As my mother lay at the hospital struggling for her life, we looked at the statistics provided by the Department of Health. We were appalled by the results Royal Bellingham had 5 staff positive, 29 Residents and 4 Death of COVID. This is very irresponsible, as they have spread it to the residents. There is a break in protocol and guidelines necessary in prevention of the spread of this disease. Royal Bellingham is negligent in spreading COVID to their residents, let alone killed in the process. As we are grieving for our loss, we also have anger and disappointment. No response from Royal Bellingham. For them it’s business as usual.
My mother has been residing at Royal Bellingham for two years now and I can't say enough good things about the experience. They take excellent care of the residents, are caring and compassionate and manage her medications timely, safely, and professionally.
