This place is good, the front desk was really nice and welcoming, when I came here to visit my grandma to eat with her in the dining room, the food was good, the only issue I have is with the host Naomi, she didn't greet my grandma and I, She ignored us and was on her phone, the time I was sitting down for lunch with my grandma she sat down other people on dirty tables and leaving them there. I hope my grandma isn't being treated this way. Other than that everyone was nice and welcoming. Thank you to all the workers!
I recently supported my in-laws as they moved into assisted living—a moment I’d always quietly dreaded. Like many families, we feared what this transition might feel like. But to our surprise, the experience was nothing like we expected—in fact, it was joyful. Instead of dread, I found myself a little jealous it wasn’t my turn to move in. The Watermark at Westwood Village is more than just a senior living community—it’s like moving into a boutique hotel with heart. The campus is spotless, beautifully designed, and always smells fresh and clean. But the real magic? The people. Every team member we encountered felt like a real-life fairy tale character—genuine, joyful, and deeply kind. Caleb greets everyone with his epic smile, calls you by name, and somehow remembers where your last conversation left off. The front desk staff is warm and attentive, making everyone feel instantly at home. Jenny, the move-in coordinator (aka air traffic control), is brilliant at making the complicated feel simple. Mario from maintenance goes above and beyond to make sure every detail in the living space is just right. Mariam was clear, kind, and thorough when explaining all the agreement details, helping us feel confident every step of the way. And Davis Lee—what a gem. He handled every aspect of the move with such authentic care that I felt like I was working with a friend, not just a professional. His attention to detail, empathy, and calm presence made a potentially emotional experience incredibly smooth. When it came time to review the contract, Senior Executive Director Stephanie Walters sat down with me and my in-laws and walked us through it page by page to ensure we understood exactly what we were signing. It’s a lot of paperwork—and can feel overwhelming—but she made the process clear, calm, and seamless. After returning home, I looked up the company values of The Watermark, and what I read confirmed everything we had experienced firsthand. Their core values are: Empowerment: Watermark believes in empowering individuals to live with purpose and joy, offering a lifestyle filled with choices and possibilities. Inclusivity: They foster a culture where every person is accepted and celebrated, regardless of identity or circumstance. Innovation: Watermark embraces fresh ideas and evolving technologies to continually enhance residents’ lives. Respect: They lead with deep respect for each individual, ensuring everyone is treated with dignity and kindness. Community: Building strong, supportive, and joyful communities is central to their mission—for both residents and staff. My hat goes off to Stephanie for not only leading with these values but for clearly instilling them in the culture. Every employee we encountered embodied this spirit, and it showed in every interaction. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are spotless, thoughtfully designed, and perfectly functional. More importantly, the wide range of amenities and vibrant community spaces naturally encourage residents to get out of their rooms and engage with others—fostering real connection and a sense of belonging. And beyond the people, the lifestyle at The Watermark is next-level. The food is genuinely amazing—fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully served. There’s a gym, a spa that offers mani-pedis and hair services, and a cozy library perfect for quiet reading. The activities calendar is packed with fun, creative options—not outdated or dull, but truly engaging. Residents enjoy field trips to local attractions, happy hours with live music, cozy outdoor seating areas to relax and connect. Oh—and did I mention the free transportation in a PHAT black Mercedes within a five-mile radius? These people are LIVING LARGE. If you're in the LA area and exploring assisted living options for a loved one, run—don’t walk—to check out The Watermark at Westwood Village. Stephanie is running a tight ship, and it absolutely shows. The team doesn’t just do their jobs—they clearly love what they do. And that makes all the difference.
I had the best time visiting my grandmother at Watermark Westwood for Thanksgiving, and I cannot say enough great things about the place, especially the food. The chef and dining staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel so welcome. And the food was fantastic! The turkey was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. It was clear the staff put a lot of care into making the holiday special. Thank you for an unforgettable meal and such warm hospitality!
Our dad moved into the Watermark as we were planning his birthday. The Watermark offered to put together a wonderful party for us, working with us to craft a menu that would cater to all 20 of our guests' preferences, including a cocktail hour, appetizers, entree, and dessert, though we brought our own cake in. They did a wonderful job making our dad's birthday feel special. We had three staff members waiting on our party, making sure drinks were filled and food was delivered as requested. They were friendly, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. And reasonably priced!! Thank you to The Watermark and Jonathan!
I have never fallen into a better place after a tragedy! We were displaced after the Los Angeles fires, and it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to us! The staff are exceptional and go above and beyond to help the residents. David, the Director of Celebrations, makes a huge difference in our daily lives here, and we are so thankful for him!
