Rose Valley Redlands

Rose Valley Care Home is a welcoming community with a warm, home-like atmosphere. Many families have found it to be a safe and caring place for their loved ones. The staff is friendly, attentive, and treats residents with respect and compassion. Caregivers like Emily and Ellen are especially praised for their kindness, calming presence, and personal attention. They take the time to listen and provide comfort, making residents feel at peace, even during difficult times.

The home is clean and comfortable, with private rooms and nice common areas, including a yard and a dining space. Families appreciate that the environment is not cold or sterile, but rather cozy and cheerful, helping residents feel like they are in a true home.

However, some reviewers have shared concerns. A negative experience with staff being rude over the phone has made some hesitant to recommend the community. Also, some note that the quality of care can vary, depending on the staff on duty.

Overall, many families are very happy with the care their loved ones receive at Rose Valley. They often mention how the staff’s genuine kindness and the clean, homely setting help their loved ones stay comfortable and happy in their later years.

After her husband died, my mother’s health took a steep downturn. At first, she lived with me, but we became worried for her safety and felt that she needed to be near others during the day while I was at work. I also lived in the mountains which was not near medical facilities. A family friend recommended Rose Valley to us because his mother lived in a sister facility and it was a good fit for her. This was all new to us and we really didn’t know what to expect. We were very concerned about our mom’s state of health and well-being. We were so lucky that Rose Valley had an opening at this time. The caregivers Emily and Ellen are wonderful, each in their own way. Nearly every evening I went to visit my mother and always felt welcome and at home. Emily brought a lively energy to the home. I was free to heat up my dinner in their kitchen and borrow silverware if needed. I started to feel that Rose Valley was my home away from home. I got to know other residents and their families. After three months, my mother was able to regain enough of her health to move to a facility where she could be even more independent. My mother says that she especially appreciated Ellen’s quiet, calm approach. She brought such a sense of peace to my mom when her world was in a state of major change and sadness. When she first moved in, my mom told me she didn’t know how she would cope with the loss of independence, health, and husband in a very short span of time. Ellen took the time to take my mother for walks during her busy day when my mom, “REALLY wanted to go outside to WALK”. Ellen took the time to listen and to provide my mom with many words of comfort. I was amazed when three months later, my mom had improved so much that she was able to move. Even after the move, Ellen took the time to visit my mom several times in her new apartment, and she still texts us both on a regular basis. What a sweet and caring influence she has been. I am so happy that my mom is now thriving and happy. I know that some of this is due to the wonderful care she received at Rose Valley. Thank you!

I’m looking for a place for my parents and was referred to Rose Valley through a friend. Michael the gentlemen on site took me on a pleasant tour. The staff was really friendly and the members were all cheerful and in good moods. It seemed like a place fit for my parents as they’re getting older and still needing a homely feel. This didn’t feel cold like most care centers. The home setting was clean, nice and a homely feel which is most comforting to my parents. I’ll be touring their other facility in hopes to make a decision by next week. Thanks for kind tour!

My review is based on my interactions trying to find placement for a patient. I called asking if there was availability, annd the person confirmed that they had availability. I was asked to call a different number, because they were busy and the line was disconnected. Unfortunately, the number given to me was wrong. I waited until the next day to call, because I understand things can get busy. The next day, I called and introduced myself. The person yelled at me that she was busy, and then hung up. My follow up calls were not answered until the person picked up and yelled at me again. Although this place had availability, I would not recommend it based on the rude interactions I received. Board and cares vary widely, and a board and care is only as good as the person caring for your loved one. I would not trust this person to care for my patients, and I felt strongly enough to warn others. This place may have been a good B&C, but I do not trust it anymore. I noticed there’s a new owner listed on Google, so please beware.

Just wanted to thank God for having my mother in law find this place. My father in law had early onset Alzheimer's and was in at least 3 facilities before being transferred here. We hated how other places had way more patients than care givers. Also, the places were not as clean and smelled like poop. There were many times in other facilities were they forgot to feed my father in law or forgot to shave him or change him. It was disguisting. We thought there was no place that could have the care and attention until we came to Rose Valley. Angel is the administrator and was so generous and kind and took care of everything. The place was very clean and had many private rooms with their own closet, dresser, etc. There was a nice TV and a dining room for the patients as well as a nice yard in the back. Overall it was a great place. What really set this place apart were the caregivers Emily and Ellen. They were amazing. THey treated my father in law as if he was their father. They took care of him, made sure any issues came to the attention of the nurse or my mother in law asap. They made his stay at that facility peaceful and relaxing. He was in so much pain from his condition and knew that the best place to go home and be at peace was at this facility. We know he's in an amazing place and at peace and we are so happy and grateful to have the staff and people at Rose valley to support us and make our lives so much easier. Thank you may not be enough but it's the best we can do.

My dad was a resident here until he passed away. I feel very fortunate to found this place. It was very clean, run very well and the staff was very loving and caring. Emily is especially wonderful. She treats each resident with such respect, love, and care.
