Silverado San Juan became our home during the 7 years my Mom lived there. The genuine love, and care towards our entire family was humbling and something that I will forever be grateful for. We saw community living in a different light as it gave us support, treatment, laughter and exceptional care during one of the most difficult times of our lives.
Our loved one has been a resident at Silverado for almost 90 days. We had a horrible, and extremely stressful time getting him out of his home and got him into Silverado with a little assistance and subterfuge. Our family did not know what to expect and we were all prepared for an unpleasant reaction. Silverado turned out to be the best decision we could have made and our loved one is safe, well nourished (he loves the food!) and best of all he is HAPPY and has no desire to return to his home. Silverado is comfortable and very relaxing, especially the central courtyard area. There is usually some type of activity going on when I visit. There are also dogs and cats, both resident and visiting. Kitchen areas are stocked with snacks and there are always beverages out. Every staff member I’ve met has been nothing but kind and caring, even as to the family’s needs. It is clear these people know what they are doing!
I cannot say enough nice things about Silverado San Juan Capistrano: always fresh and clean, delicious food, multiple fun activities to choose from, but most of all the smiling faces of residents and associates alike. What a blessing to have had my mother live there!
I have had the pleasure of referring clients to Sheila and Andrea. The families felt relieved that someone actually understood what their loved one needs were and are now thriving in the environment that Silverado San Juan provides. I highly recommend you speak with these brain health professionals and visit the community ! It’s unlike any other and they truly care !
Silverado San Juan Capistrano gave John dignity, love, and peace in his final chapter—and gave me comfort I’ll never forget. From the moment we first walked in, the warmth was immediate. John smiled and said, “This feels like a place where I’ll be truly cared for.” And he was. The nurses were attentive, skilled, and compassionate. Even during John's final days, I was never alone—someone was always there to check on me, offer a hug, or sit quietly by my side. Silverado hospice supported not just John, but me, with such calm and clarity. The activities team gave John joy—he baked cookies, arranged flowers, and always went to the music groups he loved. Leo’s meals were unforgettable. Even when John only wanted ice cream and Coke, it was served with such care and dignity—like fine dining on a white tablecloth. Housekeeping, maintenance and Laundry kept his space spotless and always greeted me with a hug and a smile. And the leadership were always visible, engaged, and full of love. From the front desk to the hallways, every hug and kind word made Silverado feel like home. Every person at Silverado gave something of their heart. I’m endlessly grateful. When you lose your partner, you don’t just lose them—you lose the family you found at Silverado. And that’s how deeply their care touches you. — Misty Tanner
