Moved my family member to Brookdale on a Saturday. The facility was waiting for us. When movers completed the move, my family and myself were invited to lunch by kitchen staff person and then when arrived at dinning room with nursing staff and was introduced to the residents. After greating all, we sat with a resident and enjoyed our meal and was served with professional but family like staff that put us at ease. After lunch spoke with staff often with a ton of questions and they answered all questions with a genuine response. Then it was dinner time and we were late but greeted again like family. Great food, great family staff and residents. A place for Mom assisted me this great find and was instrumental in my selection for my family. But truly Brookdale was way more personal than any other places, and I toured 10 local places. Thank you Brookdale gardens for being there for us during a sensitive time for my family and myself.

Entering an unexpected new phase of life with a loved one is never easy, and having the right support becomes more important than ever. Although I’ve worked in healthcare administration for many years, long‑term care (specifically memory care) was outside my scope of experience. As I navigated this journey for my father, I quickly learned how overwhelming and at times discouraging it can be. Unfortunately there are people who try to take advantage of families who simply don’t know what to expect, and that added so much stress during an already emotional time. All I wanted was to ensure my dad received the best care and felt truly comfortable. When I met Nancy Lea Trask at Brookdale. From the moment we connected, she was warm, genuine, and understanding. She recognized the challenges my brother and I were facing and guided us with compassion, clarity, and patience. During our tour, we immediately felt the family‑like atmosphere and could see that this was a place where my father would be safe, supported, and treated with dignity. Knowing he will be close to his children and in an environment that prioritizes his well‑being brings us tremendous peace of mind. Healthcare may be a business, but at Brookdale Bradenton Gardens, it’s clear that people come first. Thank you, Nancy. God bless you for the work you do and the comfort you bring to families like ours.

My father resided at Brookdale Gardens for over two years. Right from his initial placement, the staff and administration have been exceptional. They have kept us consistently informed and updated on his health and well being. They have truly gone above and beyond my expectations. I could not have asked for better service. Thank you Brookdale Gardens!

We had such a disappointing experience with this facility. We had visited twice, went through having the assessment of our family member, went through weeks of paperwork, and set up a move in day and time. Family members drove from out of state to help pack and move the family member. The morning of the move, we sent a text to the staff reminding them we were arriving at 11:00 that morning and received an "ok' response. Literally, at 10:30 that morning, after having packed up two vehicles and were about to leave the driveway, we got a call from the Executive Director that they, in fact, would not be accepting her! It took us months to get to the point where we had made the decision to seek a facility for our loved one and after weeks of working with Brookdale, they changed their minds literally at the last moment.

Our mother resided at Brookdale Bradenton Gardens for years. While the care she received was good, the Brookdale billing department and Long Term Care Insurance claims processing is not. Brookdale’s business departments have let this very crucial and timely issue linger since March, 2020. We continue to reach out to Brookdale’s accounting department in order to submit the necessary Monthly Billing Statements and CMR forms required for the LTC Insurance claims that must be paid. Brookdale bills were drawn from our bank monthly, as were the insurance premiums for the patient’s extended care coverage. The accounting department has yet to respond, nor do they return our calls, and denied us an appointment with an administrator. Brookdale’s lack of accountability has left us feeling we should share our experience with the public, hoping it improves Brookdale's overall customer service and possibly bring this issue to resolution
