I found Brookdale through A Place For Mom when it was brought to my attention that my 62 year old, veteran father with advanced early onset Alzheimers needed a memory care facility to be able to meet his care and safety needs after being neglected by a former partner. I spoke with Matt on the phone and did a tour with Cece (Sales and Marketing Coordinator) the same day that I talked to them for the first time. This was the second facility that I looked at and it was so much more welcoming and homely than the prior place I toured. The staff at Brookdale worked with me to move through the process as quickly as possible to meet our needs and were very supportive throughout the whole process. Navigating a situation like this is never easy, much less in your early 30s. I feel so much relief knowing that my dad is safe now. I am looking forward to visiting again once he gets acclimated to see how he is doing.
My mom has been here about a month, and she loves it. She moved in about two weeks after my aunt, and they both enjoy the activities, other residents, and peaceful location very much. The management has been friendly and helpful and she speaks highly about all aspects of the facility.
Our family feels so blessed to have Brookdale Southside. The staff is so friendly, empathetic, and patient. The food is good quality and tastes great (my mother lost 15 lbs. in 7 months in her last home due to her picky eating and is finally getting back to a healthy weight). Their team takes care of the building and grounds- everything is clean and well-maintained. It has been such a weight off my shoulders to know my mother is in such good hands - thank you Brookdale Southside team!!
I have been living at Brookdale SOUTHSIDE for almost 3 years and I am so happy, this is my home, the staff and management team are always there to help. The dining room staff are very accommodating. I love living here
I moved to Brookdale Southside (from Volusia County, FL) at the end of August! Best decision ever! I lived alone & was more lonely than I realized. When I came here, it took 3 days before I had friends to eat with & play with! My apartment is cozy, beautiful & comfortable. The staff is helpful & kind. Yesterday was Halloween: the entertainment staff worked serious overtime to create a festive, fun celebration! The Haunted House was spectacular & suitably scary. The music & snacks were great! And the costumes blew it out of the water! I came away feeling valued. & cared for & cared about. When you’re 80+ that isn’t always the norm. I love it here! Come enjoy being old! This is the best place ever!
