Reviews show a generally positive reputation. Many families appreciate the caring staff, especially praising the memory care team for making special occasions memorable, like a 60th wedding anniversary celebration. They mention that staff members like Chris and Sara are thoughtful and attentive, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere. People also note that residents feel loved, and the community fosters meaningful relationships and social engagement.
However, there are some negative experiences reported. One new hire describes very poor treatment from a head nurse, Laura, who was hostile, disrespectful, and unprofessional. This employee felt unwelcome and uneasy due to her toxic behavior. Another reviewer mentions dissatisfaction with staff member Darius Morales, describing him as rude and unhelpful in handling service calls. These reviews suggest that while many staff members are compassionate, there are isolated issues with staff attitude and conduct.
Overall, the community is seen as a caring place with active programs and happy residents, but potential concerns about staff professionalism may be worth considering for prospective residents and families.

I moved my mother out of Brookdale Senior Living in early Dec. She lived there for 10 months. It was a recurring financial nightmare for me. They wanted to raise the cost of her care about every 2 months. Most of the time they backed down when I pushed back. The last three months I received outragious invoices from them. Each month Derald Powell, the director, said it was an error & he would take care of it. Mom has been moved out for a month & it's still not resolved. They auto drafted my mother's bank acct today for monies not owed. I contacted my bank & stopped the pymt. My mom was also left in her room & was only taken out for her meals. Many of the staff didn't know how to pronounce mom's name correctly after 10 months. There is also a lot of staff turnover. She's much happier at her new assisted living & spends her days in the common area visiting with other residents. I strongly advise you to avoid Brookdale!
I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the wonderful leadership of Derald, ED & Marie, RN They lead a team that cares passionately about their residents and I am honored to share numerous residents with them. They are doing a phenomenal job! So proud of their dedication to all the lives they touch and serve. Congratulations to the entire team of Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch.
It is with deep concern and disappointment that I write this review. My family entrusted this facility with the care of my mother, expecting professionalism, compassion, and respect. Unfortunately, our experience has been far from that standard. Despite multiple requests that staff refrain from wearing cologne and perfume—due to my mother’s documented respiratory issues—these accommodations have not been honored. Instead, the issue has been repeatedly disregarded. When we attempted to address this directly with staff, we were met with impatience, defensiveness, and a notable decline in the quality of care. The consistent lack of communication, empathy, and accountability across the team is unacceptable and has had a direct impact on my mother’s well-being. These are not minor oversights—they represent a disregard for basic patient rights and reasonable medical accommodations. I strongly urge management to investigate these concerns and take immediate corrective action to ensure ADA-compliant care practices, improved staff training, and a culture of empathy and responsiveness. We are hopeful this review serves as a prompt for meaningful change—not only for our family, but for others who deserve dignified and respectful treatment.
This is a wonderful community that truly cares for their residents. The residents dressed in their team colors and watched a football game. Let me know if you need more information.
This place is amazing and the staff is personable and like family. We highly recommend it. It's hard enough to have to go through this transition with a loved one however, everyone at this facility has treated us like family, helped us to make this transition much smoother and most importantly take incredible care of Mom. It takes a village and they have a fantastic team/village. We love all of you. Also, my parents were about to celebrate a huge milestone, their 60th wedding anniversary and I briefly mentioned to the Memory Care Director, Chris Knight, that my Dad had arranged to have their priest come and do a special blessing and communion for he and Mom. Well, Chris and their Activities Director, Sara Bennett turned it into the most memorable, glorious ceremony and celebration we will always treasure for the rest of our lives. WOW, we can not even begin to express just how grateful we are for their love, thoughtfulness, time, details, planning, decorations and everything they did to make it happen. It was heartwarming, extraordinary and just beyond any words! They even brought Mom's friends over from assisted living and memory care to be part of their special day!!! It was priceless and we will always be grateful for this incredible memory. Thank you Chris, Sara and all the staff and residents at Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch. We appreciate all you do everyday, y'all are family and we love you!
